This topic is in the 'Exponents and Exponential Functions' section. Exponents can be tricky because it feels like there are so many rules to remember. The good news is that exponents at their core represent repeated multiplication, so if you're comfortable with the idea of multiplying a number by itself a bunch of times, then you'll be good with exponents. The rules that we learn are just shortcuts that follow as a result of repeated multiplication, and as you use them you'll start to see why they work. The really cool thing is that exponents in a sense turn multiplication and division into addition and subtraction, so there is something very unifying about exponents that sometimes gives people a tingly feeling. Try going through some of the tutorials in this section and hopefully with time, you'll see the beauty behind exponents.
