On-Camera Algebra Tutor/Presenter

Virtual Nerd, LLC is looking for a dynamic individual to be filmed in front of a whiteboard while presenting 3-8 minute video tutorials explaining step-by-step solutions to math problems and concepts spanning grade 3-11 math.

We will provide outlines of the problem and the solution, including diagrams depicting what we expect you to write on the whiteboard, but you will have to do some improvising to turn the outline into a dynamic tutorial.

About You

Without a doubt you:

  • Passionate about math (or really good at faking it);
  • Have experience teaching and/or tutoring math and/or science at the middle and/or high school level(s);
  • Comfortable deriving and explaining math concepts using simple language;
  • Comfortable smiling while talking about math in front of a camera;
  • Able to write legibly on a whiteboard;
  • Available at least 30 hours per week for on-camera work in a Downtown St Louis Studio, starting ASAP.

Additionally, you also:

  • Articulate enough to avoid multiple takes
  • Detail oriented and can contribute to the QA process
  • Able to contribute to the content development process
  • Willing to take on other duties as may be assigned!

And it would be really great if you:

  • Have a masters or above in math, science, or engineering fields;
