On-Camera Physics Tutor/Presenter

Virtual Nerd, LLC is looking for a dynamic individual to be filmed in front of a whiteboard while presenting 3-5 minute video tutorials explaining step-by-step solutions to first-year Physics homework problems. We will provide outlines of the problem and the solution, but you will have to do some improvising to turn the outline into a dynamic tutorial.

About You

Without a doubt you:

  • Are passionate about Physics, and proficient at using simple language to explain complex ideas.
  • Have an engaging, articulate, creative, and spontaneous on-camera personality.
  • Can write legibly on a whiteboard.
  • Have public speaking skills that enable you to present a complete topic with minimal “re-takes”.
  • Are available for at least 10 hours of on-camera work per week, starting ASAP.

Ideally, you also:

  • Have worked with a teleprompter.
  • Have experience teaching and/or tutoring Physics and/or science at the high school level.

And it would be phenomenal if you:

  • Have a current working mastery of additional high school level math and science subjects.

Send an email to jobs@virtualnerd.com with a brief description of your qualifications. You may also attach a resume (PDF only, please), but this is not required.

Compensation will be paid in installments upon successful completion of project milestones.
